About Me

I was born and raised in Midland TX and couldn't wait to get out. After getting a taste of the big city life I ended up back in my home town. I married my wonderful husband Eric in March of 2006 and come September 11th our little Angel Cole was born. Life changed in an instant and I couldn't imagine life with out my boys. Eric is the most amazing father, my rock and ever quiet support and Cole is the joy of my life.I never knew that one person could bring so much unconditional love. They make me who I am today and because of that I am forever grateful

Road Trip

This past weekend my sister-in-law and I took a road trip to Warrenton, TX for Antique week; while I knew we would have fun this trip surpassed my expectations. If you are looking for fun girl’s trip this is the place to go. There is more shopping, good food and fun you could ever imagine!! Be ready to let your hair down and be carefree. We made new friends and brought home lots of goodies and discovered why it’s called antique week as there is more places to shop than we had time. We are counting the days until next year’s trip. This trip will go down in my book of one of the most fun trips I have had!! Here are a few pics from this memorable weekend. Kristyn thanks for the fun, laughter and for driving the whole way!!! I can’t wait until next year!!

Pink Eyes Blue Eyes

Tuesday Morning we wake up my & my baby boys eyes were matted shut and he looked like Rocky Balboa. Of course I take one look and immediately realize he has pink eye. So I call the doctor and they call us in a prescription hoping his will be all cleared up. Now I will have to admit I would never ever in a million years want my child to have pink but I did enjoy getting to spend the day with him. So Wednesday morning rolls around and he comes walking in the room with his eyes again matted shut and announces “ Mom I have got the pink eye get it off” Bless his heart we couldn’t help but laugh, so I decide I better take him into the doctor to have them take a look only to discover he has an ear infection too. I just love when mommy instincts kick in. So he got to come to work with mom and spend the afternoon with Daddy. Well this morning I am hoping and praying when he wakes up his eyes will be clear, to my excitement they are however he now announces “Mommy my eyes are blue.” My, the imagination my child has, I think he figured if they were a different color he might get to stay home again with mom or dad. Sorry my little pumpkin no playing hookie today we have to go school, well all the while I am thinking in my head I wish we could play hookie together.

Spring is in the air

Saturday I watched my niece Keira for a couple of hours. It was so beautiful outside so I decided to let the kiddos play in the backyard. Here are a couple of pics I took. Although I couldn’t get them to look at me I just had to share. They had so much fun together even though they fight like they are brother and sister. To end the beautiful Saturday we had our first Neatherlin BBQ of the season and invited some of our friends over. Two of our friends have little boys so Cole had someone to play with. It was so funny to hear them running around the house giggling and of course tattling on each other as we told them countless times to stop jumping on the bed. You would have thought they were a Disneyworld as they got more kicks out of waiting in line to get on the step stool to climb up on Cole’s bed & jump off. Unfortunately, none of us to pictures to catch the little munchkins in the act.

Thank Heaven For Little Boys

I just had to tell you all about this because it was so sweet!!

So I am sure most of you have seen the Old Navy ads for the “Town Gowns” Well I just love those long dresses for the summertime just to throw on because they are so comfy. Last night I was trying them on and Cole walks in and grabs me by my legs and looks up with his big brown eyes and says “Mommy you look like a princess.” It just melted my heart. I don’t know what I would do without my little man. He couldn’t have said this at a better time as I have been kind of bummed out. Eric and I have been trying for another baby and so far we haven’t been successful. Please keep us in your prayers.

2 Hours I Treasure

Today I got the joy of actually getting to spend some extra time with my baby boy. Daycares in Midland were delayed due to the weather. I was very excited to get two extra hours with him. I am so envious of those stay at home moms. I hope to one of these days get that same privilege. But for now I am working mom and grateful I have a job to go to everyday. Here are a few pics I took this morning of my Cole man. I love you baby boy and had so much fun!

Happy Anniversary

Today is Eric’s and my 10th I mean 3rd Anniversary. I realize when I wake up I have not even got my hubby so much as a card. I get up do my morning walk and then head to HEB. While I am the mushy one Eric is the funny one. I get to the card aisle and of course pick up all the sweet lovey dovey cards. I think I have one picked out that is just perfect and says everything I want to say but wait out of the corner of my eye I see one that catches it in the “Funny” Anniversary section. Do I dare get out of my little box? So I open it up and read it and burst out laughing in the middle of the aisle and the little guy working there is looking at me wondering what the heck could be possibly be so funny at 6 in the morning. I just have to share with you while you may not laugh as hard as I did it; it is classic. It has a girl on the front running with a calendar in her hand and its say “Honey it’s Here” and you open it up and it reads “The anniversary of the smartest decision you have ever made, with love Happy Anniversary”. So I bring it home and Eric laughs just as hard, realizing this card probably has some truth to it J We needed a good laugh this morning as we were supposed to be going to Hawaii for our anniversary. We could be on the beach drinking a Mai Tai instead we get the luxury of new plumbing & a new bathroom. Something we didn’t plan for. Oh the joy of owning a home; While every time I get in the shower I can only dream of the sand beneath my feet, I can even feel it!!! No wait that is the sand from Cole’s shoes he has decided to dump everywhere.

Although there will not be a romantic get away & our romantic dinner will probably be a dinner for three this evening. I wouldn’t change my life for the world. Happy Anniversary Honey!! I love you!!

I thought I would post a pic from when we first started dating. My how time flies!!
