About Me

I was born and raised in Midland TX and couldn't wait to get out. After getting a taste of the big city life I ended up back in my home town. I married my wonderful husband Eric in March of 2006 and come September 11th our little Angel Cole was born. Life changed in an instant and I couldn't imagine life with out my boys. Eric is the most amazing father, my rock and ever quiet support and Cole is the joy of my life.I never knew that one person could bring so much unconditional love. They make me who I am today and because of that I am forever grateful

He wants to WOW us!

It amazes me how God continues to speak to me. I was having a conversation with my friend Sommer the other day about Eric and my difficulty with getting pregnant. We are now to the point of an appointment with a Fertility specialist and I was talking with her how lately it seems like everyone around is having trouble with getting pregnant or having troubled pregnancies when normally everytime you turn around you are wondering "what's in the water" because some has come up pregnant. With this going on it always tweaks my interest as to what HIS plan is for me and for those friends of mine who have had problems. While the answer may not be in plain site as we would like it to be I am reminded from an I received today that his plan is always for our good even though at the moment it may not seem like it. He is doing it for our good and at the right moment so we can be blown away by Him.

Did you know that God can use a single moment to transform your life for the better? God is always working, even when we have no idea what He's doing. He loves to bless us with His amazing, awe-inspiring goodness, even when we least expect it or when things don't seem to be going the right way. Romans 8:28 is a popular verse but never gets old. To me, it's one of the most encouraging verses in the entire Bible. "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them" (NLT). I love the word "everything" in this verse. We tend to think of bad things and difficult seasons, but "everything" includes more. It includes the good things as well as the things that we are indifferent about. God takes all of those things and works them out for our good. He wants you to be the kind of person who thinks about His promises all the time, who believes the best, and who keeps hoping when others just give up. If you live this way, I believe you'll be amazed at how God works in your life. You'll experience His favor in what I call a "God-ordained moment." A God-ordained moment is an incredible, supernatural event that God's been setting up, working behind the scenes so that you can experience His goodness at just the right time. These God-ordained moments don't come on our schedule, but when they come, all we can say is: "Wow!"

Have a Little Faith

It seems that lately I am surrounded by people or even myself that have something we are praying for and it's just not being answered in the time that we would like. As I opened up to read my daily devotional I was reminded that our prayers will be answered on HIS time and to have faith in him. I thought I would share the devotional with you all along with the prayer for you and myself. Have Faith he is listening and HE craves your need for HIM.

In the natural realm, we exchange money for the things we want and need. But in the spiritual realm, faith is what we exchange. The Bible tells us that when we pray, if we have faith, we will receive what we pray for.
Faith is heaven's currency. Faith moves mountains. Faith opens supernatural doors. Faith pleases God. What is faith? It is simply believing God and His Word. It's believing in His goodness and knowing that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek after Him. Faith is believing that the promises of God are true. It's obeying His Word. Where does faith come from? Everyone is given a measure of faith. Romans tell us that faith grows by hearing the Word of God. The more you hear the Word of God, the more real it becomes in your life and the easier it is to believe His promises.
It doesn't matter how much faith you have today, begin investing your faith by choosing to obey God's Word. As you hear and obey the Word, you will be empowered by faith, and you will move forward to receive every good gift He has in store for you!

Heavenly Father, thank You for the power of Your Word at work in my life. I submit myself to You today and ask that the seeds of faith in my heart grow strong. I open my heart to You and ask You to remove any doubt or unbelief so that I can serve You with my whole heart all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and believing, you will receive"(Matthew 21:22, AMP)

30, Flirth and Fabulous!!

This past weekend my bestie Becky or as her finance and I like to call her "Betsty" turned the big 30 so we headed to Ruidoso to celebrate this momentus occasion! We stayed in amazing cabin with an amazing view and had enjoyed the wildlife. This deer loved us and loved to come up to our cabin for a little bread! I am pretty sure I saw the biggest elk I have ever seen. The only downfall is that my hubby was working so he couldn't go. We bowled it up and by the way I am pretty sure I was the worst bowler out out of the whole bunch but I did make up for my bowling loss when we headed to the casino. I played a little craps and walked away with a little money. Becky got lots of great presents!!! It was a wonderful weekend!! Makes me what to turn 30 all over again!!

We can't watch this

Okay so I had to share this because it’s way to cute!!. Cole is at home with Eric this week while daddy is on his days off. I call to check on my boys to see how their afternoon is going and eric tells me they are watching Ice Age (the third one) and the part comes up were Scrat and the girl squirrel are dancing and then they kiss . Eric looks over and Cole has put his hands up to his eyes and says “Daddy I can’t watch this” then he proceeds to put his other hand on Eric’s eyes and says “Daddy you can watch this either. I love it I am glad someone is keeping us in line. Out of the mouths of babes!!

Trust in the Lord

I was reminded this morning of my favorite bible verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, as I was taking Cole to daycare this morning, terrified wondering if I was going to make it without my car flooding out and stalling in this torrential downpour. I was thinking to myself am I going make it, please let me make; the rain was so loud hitting the car I couldn’t hear myself think. I realized Cole is sitting there quietly watching his Bionicle movie without fear out just trusting and knowing that Mommy is going to get me to school today safely just like she does everyday. It reminded me of why we ever doubt or our Heavenly Father. Eric and I have been trying for baby number two for over a year now and haven’t been successful. Every month passes with the disheartening knowledge that another month has come and I am still not pregnant. This morning was a reminder to me to always trust in Him. He has a plan. He will always guide us in the right direction even if it may not be the direction we want to take. He will always answer or not answer your prayer with your best interest at heart. I am say thankful to have my Heavenly Father by my side. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Our little man is all grown up

I am happy and sad to say that our little man is officially sleeping in his own bed now; to some this may no seem like no big deal but for us as well as Cole this is a pretty big feat. He has pretty much been sleeping in the bed with us since he was baby and I never thought we would make it to this. I will say this is not all entirely his fault as Eric and I both loved him in the bed with us but we have now for almost two weeks had him in his bed. It's a bittersweet milestone in the Neatherlin house but I am so proud of him!!!
